Convex when young, then funnel shaped, surface smooth to finely felty, pale buff to brownish ochre, to about 8 cm across

Microscopic Features

Spores tear drop shaped, smooth, with droplets (5.5-8) x (3.5-5) µm2. Basidia 4 spored. Clamps present.

Edibility

Edible, although the stems can be tough. Note that there are similar deadly poisonous Clitocybe species.
